Salary: $58,000 to $63,000 - depends on experience

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety or related discipline preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years’ safety experience in manufacturing/construction environment highly desirable.
Certifications: Certified OSHA 501 or 500 trainer preferred.
Skills: Bi-lingual in English & Spanish preferred.
Must be a self-starter who is technology savvy with strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Must be organized and able to manage logistics of projects and/or programs. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, clients, customers, and the public.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver safety training and other services to satisfy client-specific requirements.
- Design, develop, and deliver customized safety training programs in a variety of different venues, i.e. classroom, online, simulator, etc.
- Research and review up-to-date training curriculum, delivery, and techniques and apply to the safety training program.
- Follow specific curriculum development schedule as set by supervisor.
- Deliver appropriate training as scheduled by supervisor. Some travel is required.
- Follow up and report all customer complaints to supervisor.
- Identify key safety organizations and maintain relationships.
- Maintain understanding and knowledge of other resources available to Autry Technology Center clients.
- Identify new clients and opportunities and report them to supervisor.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the needs of class coordination, supervision of support staff, instructors, and clients.
2. Assist in defining short-range and long-range goals in assigned programs.
3. Keep informed of and interpret laws, regulations, statutes, rules, and policies affecting safety programs.
4. Maintain professional competence through participation in professional, educational, and leadership activities and keep apprised of instructional/technological changes in safety training for business and industry. Keep apprised of trends and changes in business and industry safety issues.
5. Develop relationships with clients through training and connect them to other areas of the school.
6. Identify equipment needs and work with supervisor to ensure all necessary training equipment and supplies are available and in working order.
7. Assist in creating consistent quality in facilities.
8. Assist in maintaining a program of public relations that serves to promote understanding, maintain a positive morale, and keep the public informed regarding Workforce Development activities, needs, and successes.
9. Assist in upholding and enforcing the policies and procedures of the Board of Education.
10. Prepare and submit reports and other documentation as required by the leadership at Autry Technology Center.
11. Participate in administrative staff meetings and other school meetings and functions as required.
12. Be neat in appearance and work with people.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
