Hourly rate: RN - $35.00 or LPN - $30.00
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: LPN/RN Current License without restrictions.
Experience: Requires at least one year of experience in the health industry and in developing and/or presenting educational activities. BLS Instructor certification or willingness to obtain. (Autry will provide training)
Skills: Must have excellent organizational, planning, implementation, and communication skills. Must be able to work flexible hours as needed. Must possess the ability to work with people at all levels of education and experience. Must be a self-starter and highly motivated. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have strong facilitation skills.
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for assisting students, presenting, and documenting short-term health educational/training programs based upon the health industry standards and company specifications.

CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach regularly scheduled day and evening Health Flex Lab programs as agreed. Including but not limited to LTCNA, CMA, Advanced CMA, CMA-Update, MAT, MAT-Update, Home Health Aide Deeming, BLS CPR.
- Assist students in learning process, using OpenLMS and textbooks, demonstrating and practicing skills, checking off skills as required by the ODCTE and NAR.
- Maintain records of students’ progress per Health Flex Lab procedures, the Oklahoma Department of Career Tech Education (ODCTE), and the Nurse Aide Registry (NAR) requirements.
- Have knowledge of and uphold standards and requirements outlined by the ODCTE and NAR for all Health Flex Lab programs.
- Opening and/or closing the Health Flex Labs using outlined procedures.
- Upkeep of equipment, supplies, and lab spaces. Includes but not limited to proper process used for checking out equipment to students and utilizing the weekly maintenance of lab process.
- Be willing to obtain additional training required for instructing the Health Flex Lab programs by the ODCTE and NAR.
- Assist in continuous quality improvement for all Health Flex Lab and health related courses by regularly updating curriculum and identifying equipment to meet current industry standards and the ODCTE and NAR requirements.
- Assist in creating consistent quality instruction in clinical facilities.
- Assist in maintaining a program of public relations that serves to promote understanding, maintain a positive morale, and keep the public informed regarding Workforce Development activities, needs, and successes.
- Assist in upholding and enforcing the policies and procedures of the Board of Education.
- Participate in professional development and other school meetings and functions as required.
- Maintain professional behavior and appearance in classroom and in clinical facilities.
- Teach customized health courses as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
