PRIMARY FUNCTION:  Strengthen businesses and workforce readiness by providing high-quality safety training, heavy equipment instruction, and industry services designed to reduce risk, improve skills, and support safe, efficient operations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Deliver engaging, hands-on training in the following areas:
  1. Design, develop, and deliver customized safety training programs across classroom, simulator, online, and on-site environments.
  2. Deliver training as scheduled; some travel required.
  3. Teach proper equipment operation, safety best practices, and maintenance procedures.
  4. Maintain understanding of current safety regulations, industry standards, and training methodologies.
  5. Research and apply updated training curriculum, delivery methods, and safety practices.
  6. Assist in defining short- and long-term goals for program advancement.
  7. Support curriculum development schedules as assigned.
  8. Identify equipment needs and ensure tools, simulators, and training equipment are maintained and operational.
  9. Participate in professional development opportunities to remain current with industry standards and bring additional training possibilities to clients in Autry Tech’s district.
  10. Deliver training and services that meet client-specific needs and maintain strong customer relationships.
  11. Follow up on customer concerns and report issues to supervisor.
  12. Identify new clients and opportunities and communicate them to supervisor.
  13. Maintain relationships with key safety organizations and industry partners.
  14. Promote a positive workforce development image through effective communication and public relations efforts.
  15. Maintain accurate records, reports, attendance, and client documentation.
  16. Assist in maintaining consistent quality across facilities and training spaces.
  17. Stay informed of laws, regulations, and policies affecting safety programs and equipment training.
  18. Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

 

EDUCATION:  Associate degree in a related technical, industrial, or safety field or equivalent combination of education and industry experience required.  NCCER credential preferred.  Industry certifications in heavy equipment operation and/or safety preferred. Operator Qualifications (OQ) a plus.  Competent Person Excavation is preferred. 

 

SKILLS:            

 

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of three years’ experience in manufacturing, construction, or heavy equipment environments highly desirable.
